Saying Goodbye

Parting byes are dreadful,
Telling someone bye so soon.
In your heart barely leaves room,
For the hope of seeing them again.

A hug and maybe a kiss.
Tears pour down the cheek ,
As you become so weak,
At saying your goodbye.

One last look for memory.
Treasured in your heart,
Trying not to fall apart
After so short a reunion.

You go your separate way,
Treasuring all the time,
But the one things your heart binds
Is saying the last goodbye.

    Austin, well done. Saying a last goodbye to someone you love is difficult to do and you have captured the sadness and pain that comes with that.

    Goodbyes are definitely hard, you really captured having to say goodbye to someone really well.
