LOVE-TELL-TALE

by Brix Ambray   May 4, 2010

I was searching for love....
crossed the deepest sea,
killed the bravest whale,
tamed the crudest pirate,
built the strongest sail.

I was searching for love....
walked the hottest desert,
stepped the fiery sand,
survived the longest thirst,
found the blessed land.

I was searching for love....
journeyed the darkest valley,
claimed the highest mountain,
cut the tallest tree,
discovered the best terrain.

I was searching for love....
flew the farthest sky,
held the greatest lightning,
sighted the brightest rainbow,
used the lightest wing.

I was searching for love.....
in the deepest sea,in the hottest desert,
in the farthest sky, in the darkest valley,
But this is the saddest reality,
Love was not searching for me.

I'm tired so I stop searching for love,
I am just patiently waiting for it
I think I found it in a heart of a friend
Yet its wrong for me to say "I LOVE YOU"
She's busy searching for her love too.

Love is a journey, ending at your front door. That is what you found out about love, this is what takes people years to understand... the ending was wonderful... Great work!
