Fire Proof!

by Jack Nightengale   May 4, 2010

Flashes of red,
As people lie dead,
A hot, yet simple ember,
As his fingers ache to dismember.

Within minutes they started to fry,
After an hour no one was left to testify,
With this sin he runs with nowhere to hide,
Constantly running while burning on the inside.

Is there nothing that we can do,
Or do we wait until it's through?
In that instant it all went poof,
But, at the same time we thought that he was Fire Proof!

I dont know why but when i read this i kept thinking of someone consuming acid. I know...werid of me but still. I guess it was the referance to the burning. This was sad and vivid. I enjoyed all the same though. lovely job.
