Your Halo

by Of Sweet Insanity   May 9, 2010

Today I kneeled beside your grave,
Closed my eyes and tried to pray.
Asking Lord why he took you away.
Searching for answers to everything.

I hit the ground with my two fists.
Angered at you for leaving like this.
Pained at the thought of losing your kiss.
Indebted to you for my existance.

Today you left my heart on it's own.
Heavy words marked your death in stone.
Far away in a place I don't know.
I swear today I saw your halo.

That was beautifully sorrowful. I do not know the pain of losing a mother but i hope that i go before my mother ever does. Great poem.

The three stanzas flowed quite well into each other and the ending was beautiful
