Who is on the other side?

Many times
you go eat
you take a walk
time after time
ever wonder
who is on the other side?

looking across the table
to see no one there
looking by your side
just a empty space
who is there?

people chose to avoid it
they ignore the fact
that their just alone
and i'll just stay that way

sitting here at the coffee shop
writing this poem
i found a table
with no one across

couples laughing
husband and wife's holding hands
leaving a big mark
yes i'm alone today

torn or broken
is this fate?
or have i haven't found the one?
i miss someone

someone so badly
her hand
her smile
her love

who is on the other side of me?
is it going to be you?
when you return back to me?
or is it gonna be empty forever
like the way you left me?
