Hate that I'm stuck onto you
Even though I know it makes no sense to be.
I let my heart speak the truth
But you never hear those words
That mean everything
When i say that you're my everything
When i say that....

Even in the dark of the night
I still feel as though you're around.
I feel your hand caressing my cheek
And I shudder to think that this was once real.
You're so long gone and yet it feels
As though you never left.
I can hear your voice
Echoing in the back of my mind,
Every memory replaying over and over
Until I can only bury my head
Beneath the covers to drown it all.
The tears flow in long streams down my face
And I ponder over why
I cannot go a day without...
Thinking of you,
Seeing your smile
And those eyes
That shone and made my heart alight
With such splendor that I no longer felt alone.

I wish with all my heart
For things to be different
But deep down inside
The truth resonates
So loud that I am forced
not to linger on
In dreams and a falsity
That shall not provide that which I truly desire.

It's sad to be alive
And at the same time
Feel so lifeless within...
Not even a single feeling seems truly real,
As though broken within,
But trying to shine
Without the light
That once made
All fears vanish beneath the depths
Where they truly belong.

But I yearn for something
Something more real
Something not so superficial
That one day it may seem so immaterial
And the next leaving you cast in doubt,
Deception and anger playing around
In your head and heart
That what you once knew and felt
Is not so obvious to the naked eye
Nor does it bring any depth to feelings
Feelings that obliterate in the dark cold night

Neither a day nor a night
Nor any second for that matter
Can be lived as though alive
When every breath
Seems to linger on
Hoping that you will be there in the end
When all hope is lost
Hoping you will be there too..
And will hear these words...
The one's that were there for so long...
The one's that mean everything
And everything truly meant when said
"You're everything to me"
