This is the moment

by Marcus blake   May 13, 2010

I prepared for this day
Day in and day out
Perfection was the goal
And holding my own
Well that was the game
Cause to reach the heights of fame
Is an insane road
But see it was a life preordained for me
To become something, be on TV
That was the life meant for a person like me
Hard-worker, handsome, need I go on
I mean I had all the credentials
Everything checked out
Except I never factored in
"The moment"
The brief second where you
Feel like time froze
And left you there to bask in it's
Sensation...
I was afraid of what a person I'd become
But so lost in the image of the future me
That I would risk everything to become something
And not even know who I was in the end
I'm walking down the road of stardom
Of course that means up
To the shining blue light
This is my moment, my time
