PAIN

by Vanessa Reyes   May 14, 2010

As the light shines upon my window,
I can only think of the past, on how I used to look in the mirror and let the memories fly through my eyes.

The unshed tears, the sorrow, the pain
all building inside me with each passing day.
Hoping and praying it will all go away.
But seeing and knowing, everything will stay the same.

And in a way, I know my father feels the same.
Going through all this pain in another way.

He sheds the tears and feels the pain.
Knowing that everything has changed.
No mother, no father, only brothers and sisters.

The sorrow and pain is all, they’ll feel in the next few days. But should know they’re never alone.
I love them so much and feel their pain.
Gonna miss my abuelito, may he rest in peace,
Never to be forgotten, in this family.

    My favorite stanza
As the light shines upon my window,
I can only think of the past, on how I used to look in the mirror and let the memories fly through my eyes.

shows emotions and keeps the reader hooked..
bt I love all the rest of it..
emotions pouring out and really shows the pain your trying to demonstrate..
    loved it
