Who Am I?

by Daisy if you do   May 14, 2010

Stirred the cobble, tried my best
From host of one, to many guests
To dispel this beast consuming me
For once to live life merrily
Yet in my stupor, folly thoughts
controlled the whys, what ifs and nots
Somehow wandered down passion's path
To sip on pain from love's true wrath
This wicked, evil, obscene affair
Clutched deeper than my soul could bear
My wounded heart, ached in agony
Still even then, drank bitter tea
From tainted blood that fills the vein
A poisoned kiss from her I gained
No man- No spirit- Nor Death himself
Can claim the grief that I have felt
From mother's womb to beneath the stone
I lived this life... but I lived alone

    On a more technical note:

    "the why's, what if's and not's...."

do not need the apostrophes here
as they are plurals rather than possessives...

    otherwise...
this really is a rather brilliant delivery..
enough imagery for a one-act play, I think...

Thank You immensely for your amazing words re 'mid-September'...
reflecting exactly what one could hope for....

I'm just passin' thru briefly again in, hopefully, a timely, appropriate way.....
    great-grandbaby calls often...;~)
    still got diapers to change...chuckle...
    yay!

Good to have you back DD, this is a profound write, seeming a taunt of some past experience and a darkness that I can not put a finger on, But I am reminded of a Thespian. Peace and Blessings
