Wake Up and Live

by Poet on the Piano   May 17, 2010

Slivers of rainbow blend in with the emotionless facade
how long can I wait, hiding what is needed to be said?
My personal thoughts know that outside the world is screaming
nations have to hear the truth before lies consume their path in life.
Something must be done, not just change, for it's much more
sacrifice and the giving of one's soul out of love is essential
can we ever get this far?
If every action and word we allow to be released
gives a voice containing confident hope for even a silent stranger
then we can together outrule judgement and insecurity
and learn fear is nothing to overwhelmed by.
These masks won't be the death of me
because I am one softened light
that will not be destroyed by a brusque wind,
a fire has enlivened my spiritual heartbeat.
I will never again ignore the calling of our humble Lord
who gave us all a purpose to let his virtuous goodness shine.
