Forbidden Fruit

by My Mistakes   May 19, 2010

You are the forbidden fruit, the oasis in the sun.
instead of making me walk, you make me want to run.
when the day is dull, you can make me smile.
tho you are forbidden the benefits seem so worth-while.

i have tasted your fruit, and i have become drunk.
i gave in to my desires, and in a sea of happiness i sunk.
the want of something this is forbidden is inevitable.
but am i willing to climb out of the foreboding hole?

should i take this moment of pleasure, when it could cause later pain?
is it a risk i should take, is it worth what i might gain?
i like to live in the moment, not worry about what may come.
so i will taste this forbidden fruit, and be happy when the day is done.
