Pollution

by Lady Nik   May 19, 2010

Clearing away
rippling effects of trash
rambling through the thickness
of the smog layered air once again.

Humidity--

Oh how it chokes
the sweetness once held
in the oxygen that lingers in
this place we are forced to call home.

Garbage fills
the streets where
children play. Touching, seeing
smelling filth all over the environment
such a pretty place to raise your family.

Sickened to the point of
action. I see now I have to become
the change I want to see. So I'll
start by doing the simple task of
recycling.

I wish this poem was longer. It feels as if you were cut off half way through you spill. I do love the message and the use of the quote in this poem. Well done.
And thank you for the read.

Nice poem, and a very bold messege. Eventhough, I couldn't ignore the flow being disturbed in some parts in this poem. The planet is soon to be a place of living no longer, if pollusion shall keep growing in this rate. Liked the way and words you chose to pass the idea, but again, the broken sentences here and there disturbed me a little. Gave it 4/5

Beautiful and inspiring.Everything you said make sense only if every human being does their part, what a beautiful place this would be.
    Another wonderful piece.
