The pond was a place
Where children played
But now a community
Is lost and afraid
A little boy
No older than two
He has a name
But we don't know who
He lost his life
Not long did he live
Who ever killed him
We will never forgive
On the day of
October 17 2007
That was the day
He went up to heaven
A sad tragedy
So close to home
In the heavens tonight
The little boy will roam
Always on my mind
And always in my heart
From my thoughts
You will never depart
Up in the heavens
You are now safe
No more hurt
Will you have to face
Still stuck with the tragedy
Left on my mind
The duck pond and the memorials
Do nothing but remind
I send my love to you
Little one I will never forget
Forever in my heart
Even though we have never met
This poem is dedicated to the little boy who lost his life and was chucked into the duck pond at Mandurama Reserve in Ambarvale.... Rest In Peace little man... In memory of our little pond angel
