Simply My Best...

I'd love to write a poem...
that is simply my best!
In perfect rhyme and meter
nothing more and nothing less.

With wonderful word usage,
that would simply captivate.
Entrancing all my readers,
so that they can hardly wait..

To find out how my poem ends,
be it funny, be it glad..
Or one that makes your heart melt
makes you happy when your sad.

But I'm just a simple poet...
so this poem will have to do.
It is the very best of me...
and I hope you think so too!
