Unia (Finnish for Union)

by Wishmaster   May 25, 2010

Take all you want from me
Nothing to you, I'll always be
The truth, you never see
The rage builds like never before
All you desire is more and more
Everyone else, you ignore

Mired with you is my greatest misery
Always living in uncertainty
With you, there is no lucidity
Your lies can last no more
Your greed, you adore
I can't take it anymore

"What would you do without me?
I am a part of your anatomy
Why am I the atrocity?
We've come so far
You call me the liar
I am not the scar!"

"Take away
Run away
Please stay
Look past the lies
Go ahead, realize
That we are nothing in someone else's eyes."

I like the last line I thought it was very strong and true, but the rest of the poem was just average. I felt the rhymes were a bit mediocre and you could have brought a lot more to the table with this piece. It wasn't horrible, but at the same time it didn't blow me away. I think that deserves a 4/5
