When it Hits

by Kaia   May 27, 2010

Soft, wet kisses wake me in the night,
My eyes flutter as I try to figure out where
They came from. Her eyes gleamed vibrantly
As she smiled at me. Her lips move
But I dont know what she says...
This is what it feels like to be loved.

Its hard to say if you truly love
Someone. You think deep into the night
Thinking about the things she says...
The things she does just about anywhere
You think so much its like youre dead, you dont even move,
Even with the sun shining in your eyes, so vibrant.

You sit up quickly wondering where
You are, the feeling... so lovely
It startles you when something suddenly moves
Sitting up you see her face in the purple night
Not even sure how she came in, where
She came from, shes speaking... Not sure what she says.

You look at her clueless then she says
It again, I love you. You sit up suddenly, vibrant
Colors fill black, void, space where
There was just something there. You love
The way you can wake up scared in the night
And she can comfort you in just a single move.

Its like in that single move
She swept you away. Her motions saying
Everything you want them to. The night
Is never long enough, it is never as vibrant
As that first night. The night your eyes set upon her. Love.
Honestly no one ever knows where

They are until it hits them. You sit up wondering where
It came from. You want to move
But cant. Its okay, love
Are the words they say
When they care. Day or night.

But, when you find the one that you can say, I Love you
And really mean it, your eyes light up, vibrant, It wont matter
Where you are. Youll seem like time is moving so slow. Youll know its true.
