YOU KNOW ITS REAL WHEN...

Love is when you sit down to eat, he calls and all of a sudden you're not hungry.
Time isn't a factor and he is the only thing that really matters.
He stays home from school, calls to tell you but you stayed home too.
Without knowing God has given you 7extra hours to be one on one.
He gets jealous and you feel wanted.
The missed calls give you butterflies.
Voicemails say I Love You and nothing else but that phrase.
He moves away but you stay in touch.
He doesn't call for your birthday but you're not mad. You break up but try it once more.
Then you realize he's what you've been waiting for. Songs on the radio are what you go through without him.
Even though he's far away you have hope.
You lose contact all of a sudden and the love starts to fade.
You get with someone new but not a day goes by that he is not on your mind.
You say I love you to a guy that isn't him.
For some reason saying this hurts so much.
It's those little details that give you hope.
Tears roll down your face without trying to cry.
The thought of him is the cause for all this.
But you promise yourself that no more lonely nights await you.
That it's the last time you cry over him, you tell your heart to stop aching cuz he doesn't care.
So you promise.
Months later everything seems ok-he hasn't been on your mind and feelings toward him haven't made you cry.
Your soul is trapped you feel distorted and lost.
One night he drifts into your thoughts and slowly your heart.
You don't notice it but the paper is getting wet.
You're crying again!
You've broken the promise-how could you?!
But you feel normal which is odd.
You let yourself cry cuz that's true love.
Maybe you disagree but that's it to me.
