You Are My Treasure

by Tripp   Jun 2, 2010

Hands slip together and fingers intertwine
fingers lace with the other; and I know you are mine
blue meets blue and the truth is revealed
made for each other, our love is with a kiss sealed

I look into your eyes and our lips become one
you dominate my life like the sky and it's sun
you shower my life with the light that I need
and your clarion call is the only one I will heed

Connected by the lips and conjoined by our hips
just the mere thought of you makes my heart skip
My veins no longer bleed red, they bleed your name
you have altered my life; it will never be the same

In the blue sky of your love there are no clouds
there is only blue, and the birds and their sounds
our love is as alive as you and I; it is sentient
yet words fail to describe it; I fall to reticence

I've been with 'a girl' many times
but you are 'the girl', and you are mine!
Shannon you make my moon glow and sun shine
like golden treasure, you are such a wonderful find
