Counseler

by Andrew Santarita   Jun 3, 2010

Over the past three years
I've seen to your office
There is were I confessed my fears
Held back tears
And even expressed my thoughts on peers

But never have you changed your view of me
And no matter what you hear or see
You've always helped me
And treated me like I was family
I don't think I've told you that you've truly helped me

I've learned new things from you
And I hope you've learned from me too
Cause knowledge cures the blues
And the knowledge I've gained from you
I use to get through the darkest of my blues

Never will you be lost in my memories
Your smile is something I'll see clearly
And just because you aren't around me
doesn't mean that you forget about me
I just hope I've affected you mentally, personally, and spiritually

You see I cant say enough to show my appreciation
I just wish I could give you a standing ovation
But instead I'll write this poem and try to express my emotions
These stanzas are a dedication
To you Mrs. Garza, to express my appreciation

'Ang gawa sa pagkabata, dala hanggang pagtanda'
'What one learns in childhood he carries into adulthood.'
