Undue Rest

by Infernus   Jun 7, 2010

A man in a dirty, tattered suit stands sentry at the gate
"I bid you welcome to the eternal peace of death"
His words did reach me though he had no breath.
"You have been expected, please don't hesitate"

I step inside and greet the silence I will come to hate.
Not a breath of wind or sound of step, nothing breaks this quite kept.

For ages I will wander this realm of earth and stone.
For I refuse a peace at rest, a tome to call my home.

***This poem is not complete I feel but it has been so long since i posted anything, maybe this will help with my writers block
