Melodious

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 9, 2010

I am the ocean,
swaying under
your long neck
flushed with warmth
and a perpetual smile.
Our love blends
like watercolors
splashed onto
a lifetime portrait.

I can never fall away
from your suffocation;
somehow I agree
to your bursts of energy,
inspirational waves
rush past my grasp.

When there is silence
you sing a remedy.
Oxygen drifts,
leaving me

breathless.
