Colorless crowd

by Steven   Jun 9, 2010

Waiting at time square
just the world and it's people
people all walking in a fixed path
toward a life with no single meaning
standing still without a single soul
hands store inside my pant pocket
looking up toward the colorless sky
wondering with there was more to life
than this colorless crowd

couples all around me
black and white
business men in suits
black and white
the old hot dog stand man
black and white
the colorless world
without any other color
black and white

drowning with a hollow soul
without a single color in site
the rainbow wrap me with it's grip so tight
i was the only one who stood out the most
waiting by the sidewalk street
as crowds of people walk by me
searching for that single girl
who would bring me back to life

just when all hope perish
a single girl stood out the most
with color so vivid and dazzling
humanity has found it's salvation
no longer will it black and white today
but finally for the first time
i was able to link hands again
and find true love once more
