Broken-Heart Scars

Do you hear the sound
Of her heart breaking
It's starting to shatter
From all the pain it's taking
As fragile as glass
Leaving scars in her soul
To walk this earth
But never again be whole
He's moved on
Something she couldn't do
She takes up her blade
If only he knew
She starts to choke on the tears
That continue to drop
Her heart beats only for him
So now it must stop
Her hand goes to her lips
Which will never be kissed again
She's fought through this battle
And now it must end
She looks down at her scars
And knows they are deep
But they have been placed there
Because her heart continues to weep
Her eyes confirm that she's dead
But her blood shows, she lives
Never will another person know
Of the love that she can give
Promises that meant everything
Now don't mean a thing
Only one she now keeps
Gives her that lovely cold sting
The line starts to appear
As the blood seeps onto her shirt
Broken just like her heart
Oh god, how much it hurts
She looks back to reflect on
Why she gave him so much of her
She remembers how bad life was
And she thought he was her cure
She laid in his hands
Her deep crimson heart
As she cries another night
Because he's tearing her apart
She takes the blade
And digs to find the vein
