And it begins...

by Jason   Jun 13, 2010

Put on your boots and head to the door.
Try to look back, because you wont see it anymore.

One month in, you're ready to go.
The fight is alive, and begins to roar.

Two months down, here comes the fighting.
Every thing's fresh, new, and exciting.

Three months ago, I saw my wife.
What I wouldn't give to have back my life.

Four months waiting, and your ready for a break.
Leave is coming and you just cant wait.

Five months here, who would have knew.
Not all of your friends now stand beside you.

Six months to go, and we're half way there.
At what point do you begin to not care.

Seven months out, and now time has slowed down.
Days blur together but people never unwound.

eight months, is a long time to wait
from this point on, you keep track of the dates

Nine months now, your ready to leave them.
But wait isn't this all for freedom.

Ten months of pain, but the end is near.
Soon enough you wont even be here.

Eleven months is here, only one left to go.
Now your happy, you wont be here anymore.

Twelve months done, and its all over!
What have you done, what do you have to show for.

Three hundred and sixty five days of pain,
and you pray that it was not all in vain.
