Ignorant Bliss

I've never believed in God, yet i take his name in vain.
The love and hate he shares for you, to me is all the same.
I've never known how to say sorry; i never had the need,
I always stand at the back, quietly in the lead.

I've always tried to be Just, yet irony finds me,
Giving in to lust, Cupids arrow punishes me.
I've always said hello, when meeting the first time,
And goodbye when you leave, I'm so tired of the lines.

I leave behind a shell of you, same craft and creed,
For eternity i will be you, same cut and bleed.
I leave behind more than i know, yet take no remorse,
I go to leave the land now, to ease upon the shores.
