Letters to Daniel

by Chelsey   Jun 20, 2010

He's mad; He's angry, bitter towards me
I was happy, content, he couldn't see
A past mistake I wish I could take back
Caused his love to leave and we've lost all contact

But he's the one for me and I can't let him go
So I put pen to paper so I can let him know
365 days, I give it one year for him to return
Until then I write and for his love I yearn

Dear Daniel, I start, and a tear forms in my eye
Losing you is the hardest thing I've been through in my life
My heart aches, it breaks, and it shatters in two
All over the fact that I may never be seeing you

Dear Daniel, I write, and just your name makes me smile
I still believe in us although I may be waiting awhile
Our love can create miracles and a miracle I need
For you to forgive and our past be buried

Dear Daniel, first line, the sound of your name I miss
It makes me picture your smile and the passion in our kiss
I still miss you and need you; I know it may seem insane
But your love is the only drug that can quickly ease my pain

These Letters are the only way I still feel connected
I don't know how they'll make you feel or what's to be expected
But until my year is up, that's when I will move on
Come back to me, let's make it, I can't breathe when you're gone

:[ I know how you feel. It's such an awful feeling to love someone who can't see that. It's also a beautiful feeling at the same time. You'd rather suffer the pain then have them gone forever. I think you expressed those feelings in this piece very well. I loved the flow of things very simple and constant. A very well written piece. Nik
