Caravan Girl

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 22, 2010

The sun feeds my hunger
spraying tropical juice
into my open mouth.
I wake up each day
only to realize
I can do anything.
My skateboard
is my companion
and I go without word.
I travel for hours
far away from
stale whiskey air.
Just me and the sky
making plans
to finally let go.
Wind rushes past
starring as drums
I make more music.
Summer heat
is my motivation
pushing me closer.
Time doesn't stop
but I can prolong
every sweet breath.
Until tomorrow
I will never know
where I go next.

Inspired by the song "Caravan Girl" by the British band Goldfrapp. I love this song because it makes you want to go out in the world on a journey and discover everything. Give it a listen, it will lift up your spirits.
