A Twist In My Story

by Splashley   Jun 23, 2010

The poem I wrote you
It was on my wrist
But it somehow ended
With a twist
I hit a vein
Before I was done
Then the blood spewed out
And I started to run
I ran to your house
And shouted your name
With blood still dripping
From my vein
I ran inside
Then up to your room
I get weak
It's hard to move
I find you asleep
I crawl in your bed
I dread when you wake up
To find me dead
I lay on your shoulder
And close my eyes
Waiting for
Your dreadful surprise
I don't wake up
And neither do you
I don't know why
I guess someone knew
There was blood on your pillow
And all over your bed
I had cut wrists
You had a bullet in your head
It's better this way
You don't have to see
The lifeless body
Of what used to be me
The poem I wrote you
It was on my wrist
But it somehow ended
With a twist
