Leaving you

I sit on my bed
with an aching headache
not knowing what to say
wishing you wouldn't stay

Stillness feels the room
like water in a jar
trapped with no way out
upon my heart lies the scar

The scar of seeing you
torn into a thousand pieces
not much time left for me here
don't want you to see this

Tears from your face
I cannot bear to see
Fear of being without you
remaining deep inside me

Tell me you'll never leave
holding my hand in the dark
in time we'll be back together
but for now I have to depart
