Whispering Meadow

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 25, 2010

No one seemed to notice
the dry dead tears
evaporating onto eternity.

She held the only sign of life
beautiful yet unadorned
even during full bloom.

Words could never mean
as much as her sun
who shined faithfully.

There is captured hope
though it may not shout
she can hear its welcome.
