Pleasure

by Kuro   Jun 30, 2010

Life's pleasures taunt me
There is no escape
The past remembered
Memories reshaped

All others indulge
Leaving me to find
What I am without
No longer kept blind

I wish I had stayed
In my lonely bliss
Ignorant yet happy
Easier to resist

Life's full of pleasures
That I have denied
Watching the others
From the outside

I agree with the comments above. This poem was awesome!! The last stanza was my favorite. Especially the line, "Watching others from the outside". Awesome piece! 5/5.:)

I absolutly loved the last line. I feel like that everyday. Watching ppl "live" there life while all i do is watch. Brilliant.

Sometimes it does seem as if others have more than us and while we struggle they are handed everything on a silver spoon but, we become stronger through working towards our goals.

That is a wise poem you know. its flowed so well, and the thoughts been profound yet explained clearly.

and to go deeper to the concept well..it is but a wise step some times to be only watchers...tho some would leave a strike in the heart. :)

    well done

Simple yet effective construction, easy to read and a theme that most can relate to without difficulty. Nice job.
