Diving Into Commitment

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 1, 2010

I am no longer hunting down a reason to continue fighting. For I have found releasing all defense allows your soul to absorb the Truth. Not just the spoken Truth that struggles with understanding, but written Truth engraved in our every move, breath and step. Sacrifice can give but animosity can destroy. The bonding Love between Our Father and His sons and daughters is beyond what we call perfect. Like the patient oak tree that sprouts further and further, nourishing its similar leaves, made by One, chosen by One. How could we fall away and never return?

As our lives progress, we cannot forget that we too are like those blessed leaves. Without someone listening to our busy thoughts, warming our numb pain, and caring vigilantly, we would be dust. Nothing more, nothing less. Our existence can never make a move if we resist goodness. There is always a spirit to call during restless nights when negative feelings possess power. We don't have to let go of our branches ever, because they remind us where we first faced Love.

We are not alone.
