Liberty Dust

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 4, 2010

Walking barefoot has never felt this good,
to throw restrictions further
and burden a bloated river.
I run with cold toes
planting journeys on wet farmland
yet I can taste everything.
Home.
I don't have one
but wherever you are
that's where I will be.
Do not take this dawn for granted
because when the sun sighs
I can discern your breath
among the berries and shimmer.
The dancing birds show me
I am heading
towards perfection.
I am crossing destiny
but it carries me
into a lighted ballroom.
