Tired

Tired, weary, worn out,
this day filled with misery.
Pain and heart ache
erupting with every breath.
Thoughts about life,
all that has gone wrong,
perpetuated by my own hand.
Sorry isn't adequate,
to erase the distress, torment
that has been wreaked upon
those around me.
Change came too late,
forgiveness withheld.

    I always love honest and heartfelt poems in which the writer connects with the reader in such a short amount of time. We all must realize that in life we will hurt and be hurt, but the pain and the struggle to brighter days makes us stronger for when they arrive. I know we all hear/say live life with no regrets, but no matter how great a life may be we all dwell on the past. Very well done 5/5
