Mitochondria and Organelles

by Nicko   Jul 6, 2010

Plasma, genes, mitochondria
Revolving, circling calcium and carbon
An exoskeleton
A complex chemistry lesson
An environmental adaptation
A tear drop from God
Converting energy
Purely existing
Is that it?
Is there anymore?

Does "thought" have an atomic weight.
Does a soul have substance?
Boiling cauldron of emotion, reason?
Something to grasp in your hands
And shout "This is who I am"
Look at the complexity of "me"

No, the indefinable is indefinable
It can not be viewed
Nor held
But cherished
Your utopia
Your holy grail

It is something that is me

These questions have long been raised and the answers are still undefined. Talk about a sentimental journey, Nicko. Took me to one. Awesome to the fifth level.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about these subject lately. I like that you raise the earnest questions, but you're not afraid to leave us with some ineffable answers.

A long time ago I made a poem about this subject. In it I asked the reader to imagine deviding me up into the tiniest particles and then determine which one of those particles is "me". If you consider all cells are also replaces in the course of 7 years, then you realize we are not truly who we seem to be, in fact what we see is a mirage, a clever trick of the mind.

Nice to meet someone who is not shallow as well:)

Well done on the poem, I liked it
