Missing him and what we used to be.
All that's left is a shattered reflection,
Of better times and a happy me.
I've cornered myself into this deception.
I tell myself I'll be all right.
Though, deep down, I know that's not the case.
I still cry myself to sleep at night.
And when I close my eyes, I always see his handsome face.
I dream of him lying next to me,
A smile on his lips and his eyes full of charm.
Oh, how I wish that's how things could really be,
Every night I'd be falling asleep in his arms.
No longer would I be feeling lonely.
Or like I might never be okay.
I long to be with him only.
Because with him is where I'd like to stay.
