I Belong With You

by Angela   Jun 18, 2004

We started off as reliable friends,
The fun we had seemed to never end.
We were always teasing each other,
Little Jokes one after another.
I could tell you almost anything,
I felt like a little girl swinging on a swing.
Sometimes I told you a few hidden secrets,
Laughed with you and shared no regrets.
We first met each other within the last year,
With you my vision is crystal clear.
It was during our first year of high school,
Holding your hand was like holding a jewel.
High school sweethearts,
Is where we would start.
I feel we were meant to be,
We arent only us were you and me.
Love at first sight was never a myth,
You are the one I will always belong with.
From the day we met until the day we die,
With you I feel I can reach the sky.
In the night looking out on the lake,
Our loves devoted connection could never break.
If I could I would give you the world,
You are worth more than one-thousand pearls.
Dancing beneath the stars in summers heat,
Hearing the sound of your steady heartbeat.
The soft feeling of your warm gentle skin,
If I lost you it would be my one committed sin.
