Like leaves changing
each Fall season.
Lives alternate
By making new friends,
I have found a friendship
That could never end.
I saw you before
My big blue eyes,
Like a million stars
Shining in the endless sky.
You picked me up
With a guiding hand,
Your skin feeling
As soft as sand.
I followed you
Through pure darkness,
And met you in the light
To truthfully confess.
I knew you belonged
In my loving heart,
You were created
As a magical work of art.
My whole life
Has changed to sweet beauty,
I can see your love
Standing right next to me.
If I had pushed you away
I would have choked,
I knew before speaking
That this was no joke.
