Trapped

by LadyLk   Jul 21, 2010

This hell, this hole, this blackness,
Deep.
For you, for me, for them,
I weep.
The hate, the rage, through veins,
They seep.
I've tried, I've failed, I've been,
Defeat.

The hurt, the pain, I can't,
No more.
One shot, a rope, one hit
To the floor.
I suffer, I fall, adding to
Their score.
Emotions and words, make my
Body sore.

I beg, I pray, "Let me free,"
I plea.
My heart, incinerated to the
Third degree.
They refuse to understand
My misery.
Their primary concern is
Victory.

A bright path ahead, a beaming,
Glistening star.
Can't reach, no strength, I've fallen
Too far.
The fine melody, I hear, of an
Acoustic guitar.
Every strum of the lovely tune,
Adds another scar.

Tried to run, I'm locked, eluded
In this cell.
There's no escape here, like
California's hotel.
Cherubic, angelic, and saint,
I repel.
So I leave, with sin, to Hades,
Farewell.

I love this style of poetry. It has so much meaning in a little bit of words.
Although I wish that every stanza was like the first one. The first one was amazing. although I would have use 'seen' instead of 'been'.

The pattern was unique. and the meaning was touching. I have felt lost and trapped at times myself, so I relate.
