Hydra

by trippetta TC   Jul 26, 2010

Hydra's Chant:
They are Out there
Her third eye,
Was shown to be sewn up with the I of need
Hades held her sway in a basement, the drowsy greed
A bouquet of nausea, pretty poppy seed
Snake charmers beware the snide undertone
Of flesh turned to stone
Eyes without remorse
On both sides cold unreachable frozen in due course
Maybe like Datura, a black Angel white trumpet of revenge,
Poppy takes her pound of flesh
A cut above a hero in uniform,
proud without a continuity of truth to mesh
With his plaque of fears his Chant
(Recant! Shrieks the Hydra in her warm water tones)
" Ah but I as water and Earth made clay made flesh"
He says " They are Out there!"
He says "These are the walking and driving pincushions on our roadways
Using our public restrooms"
(God forbid, they should have hid
Themselves in a dusty fog of scar tissue
& scurry like rats neath the toilet lid)
The junkies are easy to spot, glazed eyes
(donut hole empty surprise)
Dazed stare mouth agape,
eyelids droopy head tilted as if in inquiry "To be or...." He says
"These people would injure you or me for $1.00 for their next fix; this is why I carry a firearm in 2010."

The snakes hold him as captive as dark flowers spirits hold others.

Such mysterious words and phrases, orgasmic to my eyes and thoughts!
I couldn't take my eyes from the screen, wonderful. Though very hard to understand, making it instantly wonderful poetry for me(I love to be left guessing). Also I'd like to thank you for you recent comment.
