An Island

by Nobody   Jul 27, 2010

I am afraid...
to etch these words across a page
afraid of that others might
catch a glimpse of these spilled thoughts

Is that why I hide?
Behind a faceless name
so these words may escape
yet I can still remain behind the curtain

Do I fear what the world will think?
Might say that I am a total freak
a complete drama queen with
only one source of retaliation

Retaliation? From what?
from the motions of being a teenager
Hormones constantly racing across
my unbalanced blood

Is that why I hide?
behind this cardboard smile
for fear what I may be branded
An lonely island on the edge of society?

    "Hormones constantly racing across
    my unbalanced blood"
    Well penned.
It's also the neuronal hormones racing across your synapses to watch out for ;)
