Kiss all your pains goodbye

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Jul 27, 2010

Kiss all your pains goodbye and let it fly with the wind,
You have grown wiser with time, stronger with every hit.
Finally, you know who's the enemy and who's a friend,
But your mission in life is not finished just yet.

You will face difficulties in this road that is to come,
Unexpected and unforeseen events to appear your way,
Join your strong faith, courage, and perseverance to an incredible sum,
To keep fear and surrender at bay.

Aim not to be a mountain, but aim to be an oak that stands its ground,
For greatness is not in size, its in the invincibility that is within,
Go forward in the direction of what you believe in, ignore protesting sounds,
They will tell you of your inevitable loss, but trust that you will win.

Life breaks us to build us again,
Time tests us to see of what stuff we are made.
We reach the point of the end in order to begin,
We cannot expect to hide forever under the shade.

Be courageous and have the heart of a Spartan,
The wisdom of the Native American in mind.
Brave and heroic in your own misfortune,
And victory in the end you shall find.

So kiss all your pains goodbye and let them fly with the wind,
You have grown wiser with time, stronger with every blow.
Time will bow to your strength, fortitude and resilience,
Its crown of heroism on your head it will bestow.

Easier said than done. (smiles) But it is true, we have to let go of the pain and move forward, it is not a fatal blow to us. Well done.
