Mourn Until May Is Wounded

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 28, 2010

I admired
the singed haze
almost feigning
a pitied lock,
useless in scene
and clouding past.
I was disgusted
with paintings
of spring glory,
all caked in lies
that obstructed
relevant depression.
Battle dead boats
and ashamed branches
murmur everything,
I will be forgotten.

Quite the creative poem, it's always interesting to read a poem that is inspired by a specific image & then go to it afterwards & see how closely you could imagine it. Even if it's completely different than what you thought, you can pick out the little images you give & find them in the image...nicely done!
