Past Forever

by shadow   Jul 29, 2010

My heart cut open,
from our shattered past.
Tried to glue it together,
but the hold wouldn't last.

So here I lie beside you,
internally bleeding.
Dying so quietly you never knew,
I had stopped breathing.

You shook my lifeless body,
with all your might.
Shook and shook and shook,
until the day turned into the night.

And no matter how much,
you called out my name,
The life we once shared,
would never be the same.

Who would have thought,
this day would be the last.
What once was seen as forever,
turned into a past.
