Thou Art A Wily Hunter

by Talie   Aug 3, 2010

Thou art a wily hunter who tracks the dove across the skies

Hooves berate the earth stirring up furious, soulful cries.

Echo they do so, resoundingly within my breast,

Goosebumps sweep across my skin

And I tremble as I feel your hand caress my neck.

Deep from within it feels like a panicked bird

Is beating its wings like iron fists against my chest -

It's own cage. My heart accelerates,

While my eyes become glazed and I can see you standing there

Your body a black hole of unholy fire that ensnares my

Body, calling me like a moth to the tantalizing flame.

As the wicked frost encroaches within the caverns

Where I alone so deeply slumber,

Erupting like a blasphemous heat.

I feel as if your creation of unholy fires cannot wholly reach -

Out and playfully caress my arms.

And deep within my chest my heart runs

Like some foreign tribes frantic drums.

In the outer world, rains fall across the lands

Falling and caressing each leaf,

Sliding across every rock and brushing

Gently against all the sand.

And all above the elements rage as together we dance

To ancestral tunes as stars bleed out into the day

The earth shatters as the hunter within you know you've caught your prey,

So we lay here beside each other, hearts beating frantically, at breathes uneven pace - forever to stay.

Woah, nice piece. Uncommon and pleasing yet makes one ponder with each line arising.
