Overdue

I would take it all back,
If I knew the magic words;
Back to the beginning,
Before all that has occurred.

A man can't make a miracle,
He can only do what he's able;
Life is just reality,
No nursery rhyme fable.

Words hurt like a fist,
It's 100 percent true;
You can't rewind, no second take,
No quick fix, with an apology overdue.
