Where Truth Lies.

by Courageous Dreamer   Aug 10, 2010

I trudge onward despite
waist-deep deception;
clutching onto first impressions,
sifting to find truth among
jagged words.

Insanity bubbles forth,
intensifying thoughts,
as I waver 'tween
my heart and anomaly;
questioning where
trust lies.

Original instincts
a single reminder--
one's mind cannot be
altered when truth is
already determined;
residing within the heart.

    I realy loved ur title ..1st caught my attention to read,,then was impressed after the " read " level :P cause it realy suited ur concept.

    your flow can b considered brilliant according to the harmony felt through ur stanzas and ur lines again.

    you word choice can b called poetic according to the expressions you made up from them.

    you work can b called a GIFT according to a poetry fan and reader like me.. because U have such a talent that I love and cherish and always be impressed by.

    well done for this amazing piece

    The theme is carried well from line to line, the heartache felt from verse to verse. Sad but nice read.

    What is sad is that so many of us fail to see where the truth lies, which could be read two ways. Where the truth actually is and the truth is a lie.

    Temps,

    Long time since I read you, girl. I just read a poem and saw a comment you made in which you stated that you know what that particular poem was about..I have the same feeling about this poem. I don't always do with yours, so it is nice that I do now:)

    I also think the heart always know what the mind is unwilling to accept..only thing is: often you just don't want to know because the truth can be soooooooooooo very hard to swallow:/

    Also: life is not black and white, something you realize as you grow older. As a teenager I used to be very harsh on adults, blamed them for all that went wrong in this world and on their behaviour..now I know how complicated life is and how, in life, you always have to juggle to keep all parties happy and to do justice to all people that are important to you and also not forget yourself in the process!

    Good wording, serial winner;)

    God bless and a hug,

    5/5 Ingrid
