You asked if I was okay,
But if I tell you, you will you go;
It is quite common to ask questions
To the answers that you already know.
How about we skip the lies and deceit,
And just this once I say that I am not okay,
What Then?
Would you stay or walk away?
The most obvious truths can spring surprises in an answer;
Flex the line on that social string a little bit too tight.
We would all rather carry a lie we already know the answer to,
Instead of facing our daemons and putting up a fight.
You feign ignorance to survive,
Oops, another lie just fell;
And when all my truths have leaked out
Would you believe me when I say that I am not doing so well?
