Unspoken to Spoken

by Anthony M   Aug 10, 2010

And so it begins once again
mind relieved of its senses
heart racing faster than Pegasus
daydreaming of kisses in the rain
breathing becomes heavy and hard
mouth dry, throat constricted
face flushed red, hot to the touch
unable to fathom ever being apart
asking myself if this feeling is true
approaching complete mental collapse
last defenses are dropped, fight is over
I concede my fate to say, I love you.

This was quite enchanting. You described the anticipation of uttering these three words for the first time incredibly well here. Enjoyed it.

Honestly I had no idea who Pegasus was, maybe that's really sad on my part lol but I know now...kind of made the poem more interesting for me personally cause I had to look it up. If I were to suggest something take out 'is' between mouth & dry you don't need it.. just take that out and put a comma after dry to separate your thoughts. I really love love love the title, it fits the poem perfectly in my opinion, you feel all these feelings of love, & then at the end you are no longer unspoken, you speak the words of which you feel & those are I love you...beautifully written.
