I watch you lay silently.
All too quietly.
I watch you shake
Moving the bed
Like an earthquake.

Your nightmare must
Cause despair.
As you sweat your tears.
You're living out
Every fear.

I'd say it'll be alright.
But it's so late in the night.
The sun refuses to shine bright.
Forgetting you,
I shut your throat.
No more moans.

You jump high,
Staring me in the eye.
What more can you buy?
The sky is gone.
There will be no dawn.

No strike of lightening.
Isn't this frightening?
Your throats tightening.
It's time to say goodbye.
You're unable to reply.
